I am proud to share this review for Patricia Ann (Pat) who I have known for over 40 years, I know she is a woman of great faith and sensitivity.

Her book gave us a look at all the stages of grief.  She provides hope and an intimate perspective at the process of losing her only son through pain and biblical words of God.  Not only did she share her pain, confusion, and heartbrokenness, but her strong faith in God was also always in the center of her thoughts.

Since reading her book, I gained a greater insight on how deep a mother’s Love runs for her child.  Thank you, Pat, for providing this book that is an easy read that will help those who are going through grief of a loved one.

Love, Peace, and Blessings,

Rev. Dr. John L. Payne

Your book captured my heart and touched my soul. I recall a flashback of so many memories. No one knew how much I cried that day. I admire your strength and determination. I felt your pain and struggle.

Life is a mysterious mix of beautiful, challenging, and painful experiences. Tough times never last, but tough people do. I can’t remember the last time I read something this great. You’ve made me feel things; I didn’t even know were possible.

No matter what has happened in our lives, we should thank God daily for his love, grace, and mercy.

Love and Blessings,

Your Sister in Christ,

Lucy Green

Crossing the Bridge to Hope and Heaven is a gift to anyone who has experienced grief as a result of the death of a loved one; especially the death of a child.

I initially started reading this book on a Sunday evening. The content of the Preface and the first chapter alone, took my mind and spirit to a place of deep reflection. Reflection on my own personal experiences of grief. Two days later I picked the book back up intending to read perhaps a couple more chapters.  But to my surprise I could not put it down! As I continued to read, I knew without a shadow of a doubt that the Holy Spirit had inspired Patricia Hill to share her story. A story that the reader will find to be raw, relatable, and encouraging.

Sister Hill skillfully highlights and applies principles from biblical stories and songs as a means of comfort, hope and healing. I love her analogy of A Bridge and Jesus the Bridge in Life. This is a powerful reminder of the many ways we can experience spiritual and emotional support from our relationship with God, even during our seasons of despair.

I sincerely want to thank Patricia for so courageously and eloquently sharing her journey. The lessons you have learned through your experiences of pain are a guide to the brokenhearted who need godly wisdom for living with similar pain.

May God continue to bless you and use you and your gifts for His glory.

Peace & Blessings,

Your Sister in Christ

Crossing the Bridge to Hope and Heaven reveals the reality that dark times are indeed the most challenging part of our Journey Home.

The author Patricia Ann Hill, who is anointed by the Holy Spirit, brings to the pages the devastation of the events of loss.

In sharing her experience of the loss of her only child who took ill,  you can certainly feel her pain. As I walked with her through her journey, I envisioned her as Jacob wrestling with the Angel who refused to let go until Jacob’s comfort came.

This is evident, in the writing of the dream which is her experience of the supernatural, where her spirit takes her to a place. When she awakens she has a physical manifestation of being removed, unaware, from her bed to the floor.

Encouraged by how Patricia stood up for her faith against the shadow of death, she took those first steps in Crossing the Bridge to Hope and Heaven.

It is the dynamic use of scriptures, as her foundation, that proves to the readers Jesus is the only Way, Truth and Light.

Patricia’s testimony gives insight into the Hope that we must have “ …as an anchor of the soul, both sure and stedfast…” (Hebrews 6:19 KJV) allowing us in our circumstances of loss to go deep into the veil of prayer.

I would like to congratulate Patricia on a most emotional and intense writing in sharing her struggle with loss.

As the author moved toward her victory, I did so rejoice knowing that her faith never fails. There is an intimacy with God here that is revealed. One that we all can have.

May this book bring the Light of Christ and Victory of Peace to those who bear the cross of loss. As Jacob, may God grant you favor with God and man.
